Construction Apprenticeship Support Program

The Sault Community Career Centre and Sault Ste. Marie Construction Association are excited to introduce the Construction Apprenticeship Support Program (CASP).

FREE SUPPORT FOR APPRENTICESHIP SEEKERS & APPRENTICES

CASP supports apprenticeship seekers and apprentices to begin and/or successfully complete an apprenticeship in the local construction sector. It provides access to vocational aptitude pre-assessments, in-demand trade apprenticeship market information, and information on apprenticeship pathways and completion strategies. CASP delivers individualized wrap-around supports such as mental health supports, guidance on managing a successful construction career, exam preparation, and dealing with potential lay-offs.

  • Access to an apprenticeship resource lending library.
  • Access to peer mentors and mental health supports.

FREE SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYERS, APPRENTICE SPONSORS & JOURNEYPERSON TRAINERS

CASP gives local construction-sector employers, apprentice sponsors, and journeyperson apprentice trainers the information, tools and strategies needed to successfully train and retain apprentices. It provides access to training, resources and funding for all parties involved in the construction apprenticeship system.

  • Access to apprenticeship matching services, journeyperson mentorship training workshops & apprenticeship info sessions.
  • Access to peer mentors, wrap-around supports, and local, provincial and federal resources.
