JOB DESCRIPTION

Grocer4Good Ability Development Program (G4G) is a new charity that believes we all have something to contribute. They aim to create opportunities for those with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, other Intellectual Disability or those chronically underemployed. A small, local grocery store located downtown, G4G provides easy-access to basic food at a low cost to those in the area.

Through Canada Summer Jobs grant, G4G is looking to hire two Summer Student Store Clerks for their store! As a Store Clerk, you can will be helping the Program Manager with:

  • Opening/Closing
  • Working with Cash/Debit/Credit
  • Stocking shelves
  • Pricing products
  • Helping customers

These positions will be 25h/week for 11 weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful application must meet the requirements of the Canada Summer Jobs Program:

  • The applicant is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
  • The applicant is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and
  • Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations

*International Students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
