These Terms and Conditions govern the use of text messaging services provided by the Sault Community Career Centre. Text messaging will be used for communication related to appointments, employment verification, check-ins, and other service-related matters.
Consent to Receive Messages
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Sault Community Career Centre. Message frequency varies based on your program participation, but will typically include appointment reminders and service updates. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or ARRET to any message or by contacting us directly.
Privacy and Security
We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). While we use Microsoft Teams, which encrypts messages in transit and at rest, please note that text messaging is not a fully secure communication channel. Do not share passwords or highly confidential information via text.
Client Responsibilities
Limitations of Service
Text messaging is not a substitute for emergency services. In case of an emergency, call 911 or appropriate emergency contacts.
Data Retention
Messages will be retained in accordance with our organizational policies and applicable laws. Retention periods are set to the minimum necessary for service delivery and compliance.
