We honour Obadjiwan (Batchewana First Nation) and Ketegunseebee (Garden River First Nation) as the original caretakers of these lands and acknowledge the contributions of the historic Métis Nation of Sault Ste. Marie. We recognize Indigenous peoples’ continued stewardship of the land and water. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island who reside on this territory.
