Work Location: One location. Travel from Sault Ste. Marie to Cochrane, ON.

About the Role:

Workforce Inc. is seeking Labourers in Sault Ste. Marie willing to travel for an industrial client in Cochrane, ON.

The successful candidate would support supervision with general duties such as chipping, shovelling, carrying debris/materials, and assisting with the maintenance of conveyor belts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks with the labour crew to support operations.
  • Work will be Indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Execute daily work instructions received from the Supervisor.
  • Assisting masons with tools and supplies for installation.
  • Conduct groundwork, including shovelling, chipping, raking, moving material, and assisting with conveyor belt maintenance.
  • Use power tools and machinery when needed.
  • Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures.
  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions.
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings.
  • Provide general clean-up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the work area.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel and stay in mining camp accommodations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and reliability record.
  • Experience within confined spaces and working at heights environments is an asset.
  • Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights certificates are considered an asset.
  • Background in a safety-conscious environment and industrial contracting preferred.
  • Ability to follow spoken and written instructions efficiently.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 50-80 lbs regularly throughout the day.
  • Physically fit, able to perform repeat tasks for long hours and possibly work in extreme conditions.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Industrial Labour Experience, or experience in the mining industry: 3 years (preferred, not mandatory)
