General Labourer

Job Description:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong willingness to learn a variety of tasks including truss building, maintenance, lumber stacking, grass cutting, and other labor-related duties. This is a full-time seasonal position, and you will have the opportunity to work either day or night shifts, depending on the schedule. The role involves physical labour and requires someone who is committed to performing tasks efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist in truss building by preparing and assembling materials as instructed.
– Stack lumber and materials safely and securely to maintain an orderly yard.
– Perform grass cutting and yard maintenance duties to ensure the worksite remains clean and organized.
– Support other general labour tasks as needed.
– Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
– Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
– Be an active participant in the team, collaborating with other workers to meet daily objectives and deadlines.
– Provide support for other areas of production as needed, based on the requirements of the day.

Qualifications:

– Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
– Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
– Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
– Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed.
– Experience with yard maintenance or manual labour tasks is a plus.
– Flexible to work either day or night shifts as per the job requirements.
– Basic knowledge of safety practices related to general labor tasks is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits:

– Starting wage of $18 per hour, with potential for wage increases based on performance and experience.
