Registered Massage Therapist

Greenhouse Spa

The Registered Massage Therapist will administer professional massage and body treatments to our spa guests/clients. They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our spa guests/clients. They must be a registered massage therapist in good standing in Ontario province.

They must enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality, including excellent communication, listening, and customer service and computer skills. Must understand how to effectively recommend products to meet the needs of our spa guests/clients. Must be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment, as well as be willing to work with others as an effective team, be detail and multi-task oriented. Excellent customer service skills and ongoing enthusiasm is required.

Essential Duties

  • Be flexible with your schedule; working weekends, holidays and opening/closing shifts as needed.
  • Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in a spa setting accordance with protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Make clients feel welcome and comfortable and promote the benefits of massage therapy as specific to each client and recommend frequency.
  • Be on time for each massage appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
  • Maintain the treatment rooms in a neat professional manner including stocking products and linens, cleaning and instrument sterilization.
  • Work to build a massage therapy client base, and assist in developing and implementing marketing ideas for The Greenhouse Spa.
  • Completes required client notes, maintains accurate documentation and filing of client files after each visit.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, be flexible, and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Assists in activities including staff meetings, trainings, promotions; clean-up and housekeeping and support duties for other staff.
  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously and resolve complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Complete all tasks as deemed necessary by management and meet all assigned goals.
