About the Job: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, finishing, cabinetry, and installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials with precision.
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, and molding.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes and regulations.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other tradespeople.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter in residential construction and renovation.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle demanding tasks.
- Valid carpenter’s license.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in carpentry or relevant field.
- Experience with modern and traditional carpentry techniques.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
