The Sault Community Career Centre’s Supporting Women in Skilled Trades Project proudly presents Algoma’s first-ever Built to Lead: Women in Skilled Trades Awards—a night of celebration, recognition, and connection.

We’ll be presenting the following awards:
🏆 Rising Star – Recognizing a student or new apprentice who identifies as a woman and demonstrates enthusiasm, dedication, and a commitment to growing in their trade.
🏆 Outstanding Apprentice – Honouring a registered apprentice who identifies as a woman, excels in their trade, and is committed to continuous learning, leadership, and integrity.
🏆 EmpowerMentor – Celebrating a certified journeyperson who identifies as a woman and has made outstanding contributions to mentoring apprentices, serving as a role model and leader in their trade.
🏆 Industry Champion – Recognizing an employer or organization that fosters a supportive workplace culture, champions mentorship, and strengthens the apprenticeship system. (Open to individuals of any gender.)
